CHRISTELLE BRUA

Since 2003, this daughter of restaurateurs from Lorraine has been putting all of her talent into the desserts at Le Pré Catelan. The desserts conceived of by Christelle Brua infuse magic into great classics like the Paris-Brest, the pear Belle-Hélène or the moist bitter cocoa tart. Her rapport with chef Frédéric Anton is such that the creation of desserts is the result of a veritable collaboration made up of numerous discussions, highly complex tests and a profound complicity. The result of this complicity is their latest recipe book, “Tartes”, available from Editions du Chêne.
Voted “2008 Pastry Chef of the Year” by the Champérard guide, then “2009 Pastry Chef of the Year” by the trade magazine, Le Chef; in 2014 the Gault&Millau guide voted her “Best Pastry Chef” of the year. In 2015, Christelle Brua is among the “30 women who matter in French gastronomy".
